Welcome to McLeod, Unit 5 at Mintee on Prosperity, a spacious and well-appointed coastal retreat boasting lovely north-east ocean views and a relaxed beachside atmosphere.

Perfect for families and couples, McLeod features a generous open-plan layout with a modern kitchen, large dining area, and comfortable living space. Bi-fold doors open seamlessly onto the balcony, allowing ocean breezes and natural light to flow through and creating the perfect setting for indoor–outdoor living.

The unit offers four bedrooms, accommodating a range of guests with two Queen beds, one twin room, and one single bedroom, along with two bathrooms for added convenience. Thoughtful inclusions such as a dishwasher, microwave, TV, DVD player, radio/CD player, top-load washing machine, dryer, and Weber gas BBQ ensure a relaxed and convenient stay.

A lock-up garage provides secure parking, while the quiet location means minimal traffic and a peaceful environment throughout your stay.

Ideally positioned on the oceanside of the main road, McLeod is within easy walking distance to three beaches — Cylinder, Deadman’s and Frenchman’s — as well as a grocery store, fresh fish sellers, local restaurants and the iconic Straddie Pub.

With space, comfort, and an unbeatable location, McLeod is a welcoming coastal escape and an ideal place to stay while enjoying all that Straddie has to offer.

  I feel the property McLeod was in dire need of a little TLC perhaps annual bond clean should be mandatory for all rentals on the island, ceiling fans would help in living areas as would insect screens- toilet leaking upstairs very dirty carpets. dust collection under beds and incomplete cleaning.

  McLeod has a fabulous location near the beach and is 3 levels. The 2nd bathroom on the ground level is tiny . The lounge setting not pictured here is an outdoor setting and leaves a little to be desired. The apartment has everything you need and the location and view is its best asset.

  We absolutely loved the location of our holiday rental and the views were unbelievable. The property itself was a little run down and in need of a good clean. If we had of known there were no fly screen on the top two floors, we would not have booked this property. When you pay decent money for accom you would expect this.

  Had a wonderful 2 nights in this apartment. Weather was very hot but we had a lovely breeze mostly and could leave the windows open, however not all bedrooms have ceiling fans but there are portable fans for use. Also very expensive so good to be able to share the costs with other families.

  My late husband and I have been staying in this unit for over a decade (sometimes once or twice and occasionally three times a year). And now, since his passing, I come on my own. We/I love the location and also the home-iness. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. It is wonderful to look out over the ocean and watch the whales during whale migration or the dolphins any time of year. And it is a quick walk to the beach...hardly ever use the car. The kitchen is well-appointed and the master bed very comfy! And I love Angela McCleod’s original artwork!!

  3 Bedroom townhouse with great views of Deadman's beach. Refurbished bathrooms, bedrooms 1 queen + bathroom on ground level, living area on middle floor, 1 king and 1 queen +bathroom and loo on top level. Outside areas limited with just balcony with barbeque but beaches is easily accessed. Beds comfy but furniture a bit dated, curtains need replacing and although bathrooms and kitchen okay, other areas could do with a really good clean - windows, blinds, floors (especially behind TV), door handles, hallway and internal balustrade (which is sticky and obviously never cleaned) - these are high contact areas and not satisfactory during covid era.
