Cocomo

Cocomo is a relaxed island retreat, conveniently located close to shops, beaches and local amenities. The home is designed to make the most of its elevated position, with a large covered verandah that captures the cooling sea breezes and offers beautiful ocean views — the perfect spot for morning coffee or sunset drinks.

Inside, the layout is comfortable and practical, with two queen bedrooms and two single beds, ideal for families or small groups. The main bedroom includes its own ensuite, while a second bathroom is located near the kitchen for added convenience. Ceiling fans throughout help keep the house cool, and the home is partly screened.

The kitchen is well equipped including a microwave, and opens to outdoor entertaining where you can enjoy the gas BBQ on the gated deck. For downtime, the lounge features a TV and DVD player, and Wi-Fi is available for staying connected. A washing machine makes longer stays easy.

Undercover parking is provided. Please note the property is accessed via a steep driveway.

  Lovely little house with a good view. Had a great stay here with the dog and family despite it being a wet weekend. No dryer but the deck had ample space for drying items. Driveway is steep but the view is worth it. It is a 5 minute walk to the off lead beach. We would stay again.

  Overall it was good the house was very clean with the exception of the Barbecue which was quite Disgusting and we were not able to use at all. Ray White said they would send somebody to clean it but they never did, very typical of them.

  Although we caught the end of TC Alfred, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The large deck overlooking the ocean provided protection from the inclement weather without having to be cooped up inside. We were able to easily walk to the beach in between rain periods and enjoy Home beach which was tucked well out of the south east weather. The house had all we needed to enjoy our stay and is central to other facilities in Point Lookout. An easy walk to the pub for lunch and dinner was also appreciated with the only downside being the pub is now closed for a little while for renovations to be completed.

For the price paid in off season I would expect some salt & pepper, soap or body wash, shampoo/conditioner, bin bags, toilet paper to be supplied.   We had a lovely time at the Cocomo house. The top sellers for this house are:
  View, affordability and location however the lack of wifi and optus reception was not a positive. It was great that the bathrooms have been upgraded and I would like to suggest an upgrade in the windows/doors to ensure security for guests Cocomo stay. Otherwise a nice place to stay. Thank you.

  Cocomo is an older house but in a great location. Very steep driveway which took a couple of times to master. Functional house but could do with a more modern refresh. No dryer so would not recommend for families with young kids with lots of washing. Great for dogs with enclosed backyard and deck. Easy walk to beach and the Stradbroke hotel. Overall a comfortable home that could do with a more modern touch-up internally.

  We went over to Stradbroke for the Straddie Salute, and the house was in a perfect location. Wonderful ocean views. The house was clean, and the shower was lovely and hot.The driveway was very steep, and would recommend not driving your car up, unless absolutely necessary.

  We feel that the house need some TLC furniture ,sliding doors. Heater & clothes dryer is needed especially during winter & rainy days.
  We don't think the pic is current as a lot of trees have grown up in front & does block some of the view. Ray White, the rental agency were very helpful.

  Fantastic views and had a great time. Although we did arrive when there was a winter cold snap it was FREEZING with not a single heater in sight of any kind. I called to try and get access to one and told there was nothing they could do. For the cold, the bedding/ blankets are too light and thin. But despite that we made the best of our time there, just a shame we were cold in the house.

  The house has a nice view and is great for pets. This is the only house I have stayed in at Straddie and I've stayed there each year for 25 years or so that didn't have a dryer. That's OK if sunny however it rained the whole week would have been great to run the towels through a wash but dryer. Not good for a family...yes just a little thing but....also needs more wine glasses and crockery.

  This property is very relaxed and spacious for its compact size; it is everything we wanted including screens and bedroom fans. Stunning view comes with a steep but manageable driveway. Bonus is watching the kangaroo highway hopping past the house in the late afternoon.

  We love Cocomo, we stayed there around the same time in 2020. The property has a homely feel, it's comfortable, spacious, open plan and pet friendly. Our 12yo Maltese Shizhu loves the enclosed verandah and is able to venture outside to the back yard via the 3 small steps, (the yard is great for small dogs and is fully enclosed).
