It is also an easy stroll to the Gorge Walk and Point Lookout Surf Lifesavers Club.

Air conditioning DOWNSTAIRS only, ceiling fans, insect screens, washing machine and dryer, gas BBQ, downstairs deck and upstairs balcony, small fenced courtyard,  off street parking for two vehicles.

FIG TREE is ideally set up for a family holiday or for 2 couples having their own space.

Linen is supplied and the beds are made on arrival.

  Positive: great location, decent outlook from the deck, good space inside on both levels [it's like two flats], and air-con in living areas.
  
  Negatives: tired inside, furniture average, master bed mattress is terrible.
  
  Sadly like many Straddie properties this one needs a tidy up and some TLC, which given the $rates you pay to stay is disappointing.

  4 generations from 1 to 101 stayed here for a fortnight. My mother Ruth, once up the 16 stairs, loved the ensuite walk in shower and deck access with views of the water. Little Freddie was fine once we borrowed a kiddie gate for the stairs.
  Worked so well for us all. Agents were great to get along with. Kitchen downstairs as well but we didn’t need it. BBQs on both levels, small and needed a clean. Very easy and well equipped kitchen etc; made marmalade jam whilst there. Probably could do with a good spring clean but felt very much at home. Good value for Point Lookout. Mattresses fine. Easy access to shops & Main Beach; yet quiet setting.
  We’d stay again.

  We loved our stay at Fig Tree. The location is amazing only a short walk to Blue Room Cafe, The best ice cream EVER, the local bakery and the famous Gorge Walk. The property itself is clean and spacious and it has nice views of the water. It was also very convenient having two kitchens and living rooms for our big family not to feel on top of each other. We would love to come back!

  This was a wonderful house for a family of 4 for a week. Walking distance to local shops and gorge walk. Very spacious, plenty of kitchen utensils etc, modern appliances and comfy couches. Great view from the deck!

  Fig tree house is in a great spot. It’s spacious and ideal for families. Unfortunately on arrival (1930 ferry) the house was locked up (front door was not left open as per email) and the agents were not initially contactable. Having climbed in the back patio, we found the house in a poor state. Full dirty dishwasher, ants and food on the floor, dirty bedsheets and towels. After 30 mins we got through to the agents who brought fresh towels and linen. We then juggled 3 kids and made 4 beds at 2100. Not ideal. Next morning we left early to facilitate cleaning (as discussed the night before) but the cleaners couldn’t come till the afternoon. We were left a bottle of wine as an apology + staff were polite and apologetic, but it didn’t really compensate for the stressful stay (especially at >$1200 for 2 nights)
