Beach Buoys

Beach Buoys is a relaxed, family-friendly coastal retreat designed for easy beachside living. With two large, north-facing covered decks, it’s the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee, afternoon breezes, or evening BBQs all year round.

Inside, the home offers four comfortable bedrooms—two with queen beds and two with single beds. Linen is supplied and beds are made on arrival, so you can settle straight into holiday mode. There are two bathrooms, making it ideal for families or groups.

The fully screened home is well equipped for a comfortable stay, featuring ceiling fans throughout, a cozy fireplace for cooler evenings, and an outdoor shower—perfect after a day at the beach. Entertainment and convenience are covered with two TVs, DVD player, stereo, and a well-appointed kitchen including a dishwasher and microwave.

Step outside to enjoy the gas BBQ on the deck, or take advantage of practical amenities such as an automatic washing machine, dryer, and off-street parking.

Whether you’re planning a laid-back family holiday or a relaxed getaway with friends, Beach Buoys offers comfort, space, and the perfect setting to unwind by the coast.

* Pets allowed, outside only. No fencing but enclosed decks. No more than 2 dogs.
* If Wifi is offered it is a complimentary extra. As there is no charge, issues will be dealt with ASAP but cannot be guaranteed.

  We had a wonderful holiday renting Beach Buoys, a very comfortable, spacious house with a balcony terrace looking out to the ocean and frequently visited by a gang of lively, curious kookaburras. In the evenings we cooked on the BBQ, eating the most delicious fresh fish bought from 'The Prawn Shack' in Point Lookout.
  The only drawback was that we had to use a car to go anywhere. Nevertheless we did fabulous walks regularly around the North Gorge, along vast beaches, and visited the Dunwich museum with its records of fascinating local history. One felt very close to nature and occasionally came close to kangaroos feeding. All just part of the scene!
  PS. A suggestion: In the house it would be helpful to have a handrail beside the short flight of stairs leading from the front door to the floor below.

  We had an amazing stay at Beach Buoys. The property description was completely accurate in terms of location, layout and amenities, but the photos and website honestly don’t do the spectacular view justice. It’s even more breathtaking in person.
  
  The house was neat, comfortable and very well maintained. Everything felt cared for and ready for guests. Communication from Ray White was excellent too — friendly, responsive and helpful.
  
  I’d happily recommend Beach Buoys to friends, family or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with incredible scenery.
  
  We loved exploring the area, especially driving from beach to beach to take in the views. Seeing kangaroos right on the sand was a real highlight. Oasis Restaurant is also a must visit — they make the best pizza and it was the perfect way to end a day of exploring.
  
  A fantastic stay and one we’d gladly return to.

  We had a fantastic holiday at Beach Buoys, the house is well equipped, beds comfortable, plenty of kitchen utensils, a new BBQ and a wonderful 180 degree view including right down to Cylinder beach if you stand in the corner. There were a couple of cheeky bacon stealing kookaburras' and a sleepy koala in the tree to keep us company. Very comfortable.

  Location is perfect and the view is one of the best. The house was lovely and clean with great facilities. Just a few things for future guests. There are no plugs for the kitchen sink and laundry tub. Would be great also to have two keys for the house as it will usually have two families staying. Always our favourite destination.   We love this house, there is plenty of room and numerous places to relax. The view is breath taking and the beds are comfortable. Great bathrooms and kitchen also. One small suggestion is to have an extra fridge for drinks as the main fridge is quite small for a big group of people.

  This is a lovely property in a great position. The owner has taken care to provide a very comfortable experience. The kitchen is very well stocked and equipped. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are lovely.
  We were disappointed with a few issues regarding cleanliness in one of the bedrooms which may have been an oversight and was attended to promptly. The bins were full to the brim on arrival however the agent fixed that problem for us quickly.
  Overall this property gets a 9 out of 10 from our well traveled group.

  Overall, we loved our stay at Beach Buoys and would book again.
  Negatives - We were disappointed with our arrival day, waiting over 30 minutes after the entry time (2pm) to the property as the cleaners were still there. The floors were still quite dirty with sand under beds and while the tall ceilings were great, there were cobwebs everywhere up high. The screens fell out of windows and one of the doors on a few occasions and could be seen as quite unsafe.
  Positives - the views were fantastic (the whales were non-stop), great location, the property was very well appointed with a fabulously stocked kitchen and the bathrooms were modern. Loved Straddie and we will be back.

  We had a lovely week in this home despite the rain. It was pet friendly and very comfortable. Had nearly everything we needed.
  A few suggestions though - there was no heating other than a fireplace on the top floor. We had to get the wood and it didn't stay on all the time without attending to it. Downstairs had no heating at all. We had some elderly people with us so was a little uncomfortable for them.
  Would be nice to also have an outdoor fenced area for pets to stretch their legs.
  Having said all that we would definitely book it again with all the other pluses considered.

  The best home we have stayed at on Minjerribah. We love a beautiful view and this was the most spectacular view of the ocean I think we have ever enjoyed. Hours were spent on the deck when we weren’t at the beach. The home was large and perfect for our family and will see us well into the future as the kids grow into teenage hood. The kitchen was stocked with all the things you could possibly need. An easy drive to all our favourite beaches. Only thing to note is that the floors were quite gritty and sandy to I vacuumed and mopped and they were fine. I’m not sure if the previous holiday era were taking advantage of the awesome outdoor shower to wash the sand off before venturing inside. Also we killed half a dozen medium sized cockroaches in the four days we were there. But....We will be rebooking for sure. Five stars!
