Billabong is a conveniently located four-bedroom holiday home tucked away in a quiet, leafy cul-de-sac—perfect for a relaxed Straddie escape. Despite its peaceful setting, the house is within easy walking distance of all beaches, local shops, public transport, and just a short stroll from the Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel.

The home has been tastefully furnished and offers comfortable accommodation for families or groups. There are two queen bedrooms, one double bedroom, and a twin bedroom with three single beds, along with two bathrooms, one of which includes a bathtub.

Designed for easy holiday living, Billabong features ceiling fans throughout, insect screens, and two TVs for relaxed downtime after a day at the beach. The well-equipped kitchen includes a wall oven and dishwasher, while laundry facilities consist of a top-load washing machine and clothes dryer for added convenience.

Outside, enjoy cooking on the Weber BBQ and make use of the partially fenced yard, perfect for relaxing outdoors. Undercover parking is also provided.

With its excellent location, comfortable layout, and peaceful surroundings, Billabong is a fantastic base for enjoying everything North Stradbroke Island has to offer.

Linen is supplied and beds are made on arrival for your convenience.

  Great central location and close to beaches. Good sleeping arrangements for the 9 of us, despite being a little on the small size. No table for 9 of us to sit at together. Stairs a bit tricky for my elderly mother to use. No real yard of suitable size for dog to be outside. The manager was helpful with our inquiries and requests.

  The rental property met all of our needs and more ! Fabulous location , the house fit in all our guests comfortably and the 2 bathrooms in the property was very handy !
  The kitchen had all the utensils we could ask for too ( the only very small criticism would be that the kitchen knives were blunt ).

  'Billaong" was a perfect location for our family to celebrate a special birthday as it walking distance to the hotel where we hosted the event and the beach. The layout of the property itself fabulous sleeping 4 upstairs and 5 downstairs each floor having access to bathrooms. The deck was lovely to sit on and watch the world go by with a little glimpse of the ocean could do with a bit of a sweep and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms very clean. My only criticism was the property could do with a deep spring clean, the oven, windows etc and a sort out of the cupboards and wardrobes and don't forget extra toilet paper, but I want to premise this by saying the bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. Overall I would highly recommend this property especially as you are allowed to take your doggies with you. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back.

  A great house in a great spot. The property however needs a good clean as there was black dust/mould on door stoppers in bedrooms, dog hair and dust in the carpets, especially the bedroomss agianst the walls, dog hair and sand in between the cushons on the lounges, dust on the fans. It is at the beach so sand is to be expected but not to greet on arrival in the grooves of the front door, together with dog hair and a greesy substance.
  The house was great; it just needs a major deep clean. I would stay again if I knew it had been cleaned.

  We had two families fit comfortably at Billabong. Having the families separated by upstairs and downstairs living with our own living areas, bedrooms and bathrooms meant we could have privacy if needed. It's a little dated but with kids and for the price it suited us perfectly.
  The Stradbroke Hotel and beach being within walking distance were huge bonuses too.
  The outlook was lovely with wildlife at our doorstep. Kangaroos and Kookaburra came to say hello.
  It was clean and well presented with all amenities included. Will definitely go back.

  Negative comments.
  The house as not clean when we got there, floors had not been hoovered and bits all over. House has not been properly cleaned in a very long time, to the point the rattan mirrors have layers of dust and mould on them and dust could be seen on carpet underneath sofa, without having to move it. The kitchen pantry had a putrid smell within it and all items smelt as well. The bed linen also had musky smell. The downstairs TV didn’t even work. Mentioned to agent and they didn’t seem bothered. Outside shower was broken.
  
  Positive comments- great location 5 minutes walk to beach and great sized house for number of guests.
  
  Would I stay there again. Probably not as although it had good reviews the house didn’t live up to these reviews or comments due to cleanliness.

  This house was great for us as a family of four travelling with our dog. The property is very clean and well presented. We stayed upstairs and the beds were really comfortable. The property is a short walk to Home beach which is dog friendly and beautiful place to hang out. We were really comfortable in the house. The only thing I would add would be (and it’s not a criticism) is that it would have been nice to have access to a vacuum to help with the upkeep of the property.

  A great 10 day stay with family reuniting after two years of covid separation. The house provided a quality base for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Close proximity to the beach for walks and swims was ideal. We would definitely stay again.
  Could do with provision of a vacuum in the house for cleaning and a clothes drying line outside, and the electric stovetop has a dodgy element that tripped the circuit breaker (finally located in a wardrobe in downstairs bedroom). Great that we were allowed to take our small dog with us, but there was a really strong ‘wet dog’ odour in the downstairs room - needs deep clean. The bbq fat tray was overflowing and generally needed a good scrub and clean before we could use it.

  Our stay at Billabong was great. It is in a great location - easy walking distance to Home and Cylinder Beaches and shops.
  Sitting on the patio it is quite private and a leafy surround.
  The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and crockery etc. The property was clean and furnishings in good condition.
  There is water damage to the external laundry door making it very difficult to use and it needs to be replaced.
  The mattress on the bed in the shared room downstairs was very uncomfortable and could be replaced.
  There is no external clothes line for wet beach gear, just a clothes airer. A clothes line could be placed on the outside of the carport lattice.
