This beautifully designed one bedroom top (3rd) floor unit is the ideal getaway for couples or singles. The complex is stairs only with no lifts. Located across the road from the stunning Home beach, walking distance to the bowls club, Fever Coffee, Oasis restaurant and the iconic Straddie Pub.

From the deck you can look out over the manicured grounds, pool and tennis court. This unit is ideally located and creates a wonderful space for relaxation. However, you won't need to go without your modern luxuries as this unit has high speed internet, dishwasher, washing machine, a well designed kitchen with coffee pod machine (Nespresso).

The couch is a pullout, so although it is a one bedroom it can sleep a maximum of 3 people.

  Found it hard to sleep as the main light of the building was on all night, perhaps a sensor could help? Bed and bedding need replacing.

  The visual of the pool & to hear the ocean was amazing. The hike up the stairs made exercising on our holiday a breeze!!
  The unit was neat & tidy and if your use to the holiday life of straddie your open to the accommodation not being completely brand new & immaculate as a few things needed bond cleaning ~ the curtains, bed & couch need some love & proper cleaning!!

  The property was generally comfortable with a nice couch and bed. All of the appliances including the dishwasher, TV and washing machine were excellent. There were some issues with the power shutting off a few times at the end of our stay. This meant that the air conditioning stopped working which made it very uncomfortable in the January heat. We were also unable to open the doors as rain came inside due to the lack of an awning over the verandahs. This lack of cover also made it impossible to sit outside when it was sunny. Another concern for us was the amount of mould on the bathroom ceiling. This unit had a great location being close to Home Beach. The check in and check out process was very simple. Straddie as a holiday venue never fails to impress.

  I booked six months in advance as it was a work trip. The bathroom was very mouldy - across the ceiling, posing a health risk. If I had known about the mould, I could have booked something else. The apartment was generally dirty, with big chunks of hair in the bathroom (very visible, so nobody actually cleaned it). The key box could be opened with any code (posing safety risks to our belongings).

  Unit 23 At The Islander is a 1 bedroom unit on the third floor. There isn’t a lift so you need to be fit enough to use the stairs. 😀 It is tastefully decorated, well presented and equipped, clean and tidy. It is perfectly located within easy walking distance to the beach and local attractions. It would be great to have a fly screen on the bedroom so it can be opened at night as it can get a bit warm for sleeping with only the fan in the hotter weather. The handwritten welcome card is a nice touch. The complex has a bbq, pool, tennis court and lovely gardens with wildlife in close proximity.

  Great location, estate people were really helpful to deal with, decor of apartment was lovely. It’s needing a bit more of a deep clean though- long term dust build on top of rangehood, in bedroom floor cupboards, dead spider in kitchen jar, no spare toilet paper, a flyscreen needed on the bedroom door, no batteries in the remote so couldn’t use tv at all.

  The property was very nicely renovated and nice furnished. It was well kept and clean.
  We enjoyed the stay and the facility were really nice like the tennis court and swimming pool. The location is perfect.

  The bedroom does not have air conditioning and it gets really hot.
  The bedroom does not have any mosquito screen so you can not open the window to let some air passing and without air conditioning it was vert hot.
  
  The sofa bed was quite stained and dirty. It will do with a good cleaning.
  
  The wardrobe was full of staffs and rather messy so we could not hang our clothes.
  
  The bedsheets were stained. Clean but stained. May be provide some feedback to the cleaning company?
  
  The electricity went off during our second night and it was a bit of an hassle to get it up and running again.

  The unit was in an excellent position on the island. Close to the Beach, Bowls Club and the best restaurant on the island. The unit was well equipped with all the items you need. The unit looked great from the pictures but the lounge was very uncomfortable, the kitchen chairs scrapped on the floor like nails on a black board. The shower sprayed water over the walls instead of on the person having a shower. The balcony was tiny with a rusty table and one rusty chair. To get to the unit you had to climb 50 steps. My husband is 72 and has COPD and found it extremeley difficult each day.

  23 The Islandler was a perfect stay for myself and my partner. Only downside was the 3 flights of stairs to go up and down. Nice relaxing area along the main strip not far from everything.

  Firstly got sent the wrong cobe to enter the premises ? Then had to chase down a the right code , there was no soap or dishwashing liquid to wash up , there was mould in the bathroom which also was dirty they need an extraction fan for moisture clearly ! The lounge was very dirty in and when folded out ! The air con unit was very filthy just a real bad experience ! Great location but very disappointed to say the least
