Bunya Seaside

Bunya Seaside is a relaxed four-bedroom beach house, perfectly positioned just above Deadmans Beach and an easy stroll to both Deadmans and Cylinder Beaches. Shops, public transport and the Straddie Hotel are also close by, making it easy to settle in and explore without needing the car.

The home is set up for easy coastal living, with an open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen area downstairs, kept comfortable year-round with air conditioning. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher, and flows straight out to a private, fully fenced courtyard where you can enjoy outdoor meals, fire up the gas BBQ, or unwind after a day at the beach. All downstairs rooms open directly onto this courtyard, creating a lovely indoor-outdoor feel.

Upstairs features a spacious master bedroom with a king bed and private ensuite, along with another bedroom and a second toilet. Downstairs offers two additional bedrooms and a bathroom, making the layout ideal for families or groups. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms ensure a comfortable night’s sleep, and the home is fully screened throughout. A top-loading washing machine and dryer make longer stays easy, while the lounge offers a flat-screen TV and DVD player for relaxed evenings in.

There is off-street parking available for two vehicles or a boat.

Comfortable, practical and well located, Bunya Seaside is an ideal base for a laid-back Straddie escape, just moments from some of the island’s best beaches.

  This place is all about location location! Our second stay here and again disappointed in its cleanliness. Fans and windows dirty, broken rangehood, very very minimal products to clean3 with. Obviously non cleaned under beds, furniture is a long time. New drinks fridge was a nice surprise.

  We were recommended by friends to rent this property as we have a dog. We always wanted to take out dog on a beach holiday with us and this is ideal. My husband loves to cook and was very happy with the big open kitchen. Not too flash, but not shabby. Just right.

  We had a great week. Perfect location. Our dog was allowed on Deadmans Beach which she loved. Also good for swimming for our teenage daughters. Also a short walk to a patrolled beach at Cylinder if we weren't with them. Great house. Yard was perfect for dogs with a secure fence. Very clean and comfortable.   Downstairs shower fails to drain within 60 seconds and leaves you standing in obnoxious grey and severely yucky water. Additionally, the toilet is very slow to be available for subsequent flushing.

  The cleanliness of the property was appalling. It had not had a proper clean for some time and was dirty and dusty throughout.
  Property also states air conditioning but there is only 1 air conditioner in the kitchen. The other areas are hot and only have ceiling fans.

  Set in a great location close to both Deadmans and Cylinder Beaches. Shops are within walking distance. Quiet cul de sac. Central to lots of wonderful Straddie experiences. You can park your car and not need it fir the duration of your holiday: if you enjoy walking!

  We’ve stayed at Bunya Seaside several times and always have a great week when we do. It’s in a perfect location a short walk to both Cylinder Bch and Deadman’s Bch as well as to the General Store. The house is clean and spacious. The kitchen is well equiped making cooking easy. There is plenty of yard for the dog to enjoy.

  Good location, and very well setup for having the family pet join the holiday.
  The kitchen has all amenities, just some are a little dated. The listing said it was airconditioned, but the single airconditioner only cools the kitchen and lounge. Does not adequately reach the bedrooms. The queen bed in the main bedroom has very warn mattresses, so soft you can roll off the edge. Bathroom are adequate but a little dated, the shower fittings are faulty and not dispersing an even flow. Both Bathrooms have mould apparent on the ceiling, and the upstairs has warning about water leaks from prolonged use. Floors and furniture appeared clean, but the blinds and screens were very dusty.

  A lovely family time of 2 weeks at Bunya Seaside. Family members gathered to enjoy each others company, lots of dun, surf and sand together.
  Bunya Seaside is a very liveable house, not fancy, but one in which you can chill out and enjoy. So handy to the beaches: to Deadmans, Cylinder and a short walk( or jog) to Point Lookout. Handy to shop. Short drivrs yo Amity and Dunwich and the delights of the Keyholes and Flinders
