Lookout Unit 5

The units face north and have a large pool and entertainment area - the views are the best at Point Lookout and it is possible to watch the migration of Humpback Whales (June to November) from each unit. Features: Two bedroom two bathroom units with decks on two levels, vergola roofed decks which can be opened or closed depending on the weather,dishwasher, oven and microwave, colour TV and DVD, washing machine and dryer, ceiling fans throughout, screened doors, bbq on deck and undercover parking. Swimming pool and timber entertainment area.

  View was fantastic, apart from view the whole house needs a look over, new polished floors doesn’t cut it.....need new blinds, fans felt like they would fall off the ceiling when turned on. Bed was like a rock, might aswell slept on the floor. Found a guest book and it seems like continuing complaints on same items with nothing done

  Having holidayed at Claytons on Cylinder for 18 years we were a little apprehensive about changing accommodation, but the cost got us in the end. Don’t get me wrong, Unit 7 Claytons owners are wonderful, fair and we loved holidaying for several years at Jenny’s beautiful pad, earlier on. “The Outlook”, was a refreshing change from recent years and absolutely loved our experience there. We’ve already booked in for next year, having only returned home for a week. Straddie 23, here we come.

  We enjoyed our stay in this lovely unit. The unit is well maintained and decorated. The view is amazing! We were able to relax and enjoy the beauty of Straddie.
  
  It was mostly clean except our boys beds had sand in them. Property managers don’t provide essentials like toilet paper, garbage bags, soap, dish sponge, facial tissue and other items you’d expect at an expensive holiday rental. There was no gas in BBQ, which I didn’t realise until I was about to cook. They also leave an extensive clean up list that you have to do or risk getting charged. Lastly, the 9am check out is quite early especially given all the cleaning they expect you to do for them.

  The view was what drew us to choose this property, and we weren't disappointed. The unit is clean, well furnished and laid out. It's unusual these days to not have wifi, so not having access was a surprise. The 9am checkout is a bit harsh, compared to the usual 10am and sometimes 11am we've experienced in other accommodation at Point Lookout.
