Cylinder Cove Unit 5 is a beautifully positioned north-facing apartment that enjoys warming winter sun, cooling summer breezes and spectacular ocean and beach views. Set within landscaped gardens with direct beach access via private walkways, the unit is also an easy walk to shops, restaurants and the Straddie Hotel — the best of island living right at your doorstep.

The light-filled interior offers generous space and comfort, with three bedrooms, all featuring built-in wardrobes and ceiling fans. Bedding includes one queen bed and four single beds, making the unit ideal for families or groups. There are two bathrooms, including one with a full-size bathtub, plus the added convenience of a third toilet in a powder room on the living level.

The open-plan living area flows out to covered decks where you can relax, dine or simply take in the sweeping ocean and beach views. The unit is fully screened and well equipped for a comfortable stay, with a TV, DVD player, washing machine, clothes dryer and a BBQ. A Nespresso machine is on hand for easy mornings, and secure basement parking is included.

With its unbeatable outlook, direct beach access and walk-to-everything location, Cylinder Cove Unit 5 offers a relaxed and effortless base for your Straddie escape.

  This 3 bedroom, two story unit was fantastic for our 4-day trip away. Over looking Cylinder Beach we could listen to the ocean sounds and even saw pods of dolphins from the balcony. Plenty of space and the kitchen was very well equipped. Very close to the Gorge and having the Foodworks nearby was very convenient. Ray White was very helpful in assisting us with the booking also.

  This is a lovely unit with a lovely view. The owners could invest a bit of time, effort and money by doing a pest treatment (Haven’t seen that many cockroaches before), and updating the bathrooms.

  The view was out of this world and the accommodation was what we expected, a little old so we didn't feel like we had to be precious, but still comfy. The fan in one room was not working so it made the hot nights uncomfortable. We did not let the agent know until we vacated, so possibly if we had it may have been able to be fixed. The accommodation is walkable to the beach but there are a few stairs to get up and down, that could be an issue for some but not for us. The space was surprisingly well stocked with basics, we did a lot of cooking on the BBQ and we even enjoyed some of the books for a good holiday read. We got to see a lot of wildlife which was fabulous, including a few snakes (redbelly black and eastern brown) so be on the lookout while you're out and about. We loved everything about our stay, thank you for having us.... we will absolutely be back.

  The unit is spacious and with a wonderful view over Cylinder Beach. The beach itself is literally a 5 mn walk from the appartment. The kitchen is fully equipped and the terrace is furnished with a table, chairs and barbecue allowing for breakfast and dinners outside while enjoying the view.
  However, cleanliness could be improved (they were some mold stains on some parts of the ceiling for instance).

  We had a wonderful time staying at Cylinder Cove, walking, swimming, heading to Point Lookout for gelato (Whale Tail is the best!) and seeing whales, turtles, dolphins and birds on the Gorge Walk. The apartment had incredible views and all the basics. It is a little worn and the master bedroom mattress was very firm. The cleaning was also a bit patchy, with things like small blobs of conditioner and a hair left in a shower cubicle, crumbs in the couch and dust in places. Having said that, floors and kitchen were clean and we'd still return (but would be hoping the bed was updated!)

  Thank-you for a fabulous 2 week stay in we had in January 2023. The unit was ready on arrival at 2pm and was clean. The kitchen was stocked amazingly with platters / steak knives / plenty of glassware etc etc. Which makes entertaining friends easy when they pop up from the beach unexpectedly. The location of the units is fabulous. We would definitely love to stay in this unit again.

  A well appointed unit with 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets & 3 bedrooms. Comfortably sleeps 6.
  Great kitchen a entertaining area and a fantastic wide balcony. We had whales showing off every day, dolphins, kookaburras and kangaroos -all from a balcony view. Top spot.
  The basement parking is pretty tight, but overall a top location. Walk to everywhere.

  If you want a view equal to any island paradise, this is for you.
  The apartment looks out over Cylinder Beach towards Moreton Island and the view never disappoints.
  There is easy access to the beach by a walkway from the unit.
  The apartment is well equipped and well-appointed.
  It's clean and comfortable.
  A couple of points to keep in mind.
  If you or your guests have mobility issues, this apartment will be a problem for you.
  It's two storeys inside, and twos sets of steps from the carpark.
  The walk to the beach via the walkway could also be a problem for some.
  So keep that in mind, if you have any people who might have problems with this.
  There is one car park, and if you have another car, getting use of the visitor park can be difficult at times.
