Welcome to Straddie Beach House 3, a light-filled, elevated retreat designed to catch the sea breezes and give you a peaceful island escape. With glimpses across to Moreton Island and bushland right next door, this open-style home is all about relaxed coastal living.

You’re just a 3-minute stroll to Home Beach, with Cylinder Beach, the Stradbroke Hotel, bowls club and public transport all an easy walk away—perfect if you want to park the car and explore on foot. The home backs onto native bushland, where you may be lucky enough to spot the resident koala or kangaroos passing through.

Spread across three levels with polished timber floors, the house offers plenty of space for families or groups. There are three screened bedrooms featuring two queen beds and a bunk room with a single bed with trundle, and two bathrooms for added comfort. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and microwave, making meals easy, while the gas BBQ is ideal for relaxed outdoor dining.

For longer stays, you’ll appreciate the laundry facilities with a top-load washing machine and dryer, as well as NBN internet, TV, DVD and CD player. A lockable storeroom and laundry are located at ground level, along with a covered carport for convenient off-street parking.

Whether you’re here for beach days, wildlife spotting or a laid-back island getaway, Straddie Beach House 3 is a comfortable and well-located base to enjoy it all.

  Big home within an easy walk to the beach. Clean and tidy home and pet friendly. Some windows don't have fly mesh so mozzie repellent is required, and no aircon in house but fans are provided. A great place to stay, we would be happy to return again

  Lovely location, close to dog friendly home beach. Comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen. Noisy neighbours partied at midnight on one occasion and very excited children next door woke at 4 am on Christmas morning! Apart form that a most relaxing, restorative and enjoyable stay.

  Great location close to Home Beach a dog lead free beach. The upstairs has a lovely new kitchen 2022/23, and has great breezes. The downstairs bathroom has a new vanity. A few more fly screens upstairs to reduce flies and mosquitos.

  Great house. Everything we needed ( except a pair of scissors 😂)
  Comfy beds. Could have done with some screens in the living areas but bedrooms were screened .
  Lounge was comfy but the cushions were bit outdated and a bit musty/smelly and could have done with a clean and the bunk room smelt like wee bit that could have been from previous guests not mentioning their kid wet the bed ??The staff were lovely when I mentioned it and came promptly over when I rang and said that the door lock was broken. Overall great value for money and I would stay there again, just maybe a lounge freshen up and a bit of a spring clean( under beds and lounges were a bit dusty and a few big trails and ants in the bottom bathroom but nothing major)

  Everything was great, the unit was really clean and tidy. Handover was easy. Plenty of things in the kitchen.
  Would have appreciated very basic toiletries in the bathroom, the hand soap was empty. Linen and towels were clean and tidy.

  This was our second time staying at Straddie Beach House 3. It's the perfect layout for us, consisting of a couple with two kids, and another couple. Heaps of utensils and a BBQ to use. Otherwise an easy walk to the pub. Patrolled Beach at the end of the street or walk slightly further to Cylinder Beach which also has a playground and a coffee van. We also saw a lot of kangaroos from the balcony. Heaps of bath towels and adequate linen supplied. The only fault was the dishwasher smelt like it needed a deep clean.

  We enjoyed our stay, it was clean, quiet and a stroll to Cylinder Beach. The balcony was baking in sunlight every afternoon, so that was lovely during winter. The place was a bit cold in the evenings (we stayed during July) as there is no heating. We have small kids but I can imagine the place would suit a family with older children also as there is a downstairs room with its own TV and DVD player. We appreciated the DVD collection - lots of great family and Pixar movies.

  Had a great week with friends and my little dog at this beach house. Three minute easy walk to the best dog friendly beach. Very spacious and comfortable house. Nice view from the deck. Well equipped with everything you need. Only suggestion for improvement would be insect screens in the living area as the mosquitoes can be quite ferocious. Easy walk to a great pub which is one of the few places to eat out. Bus to the ferry at the end of the road if you’ve got visitors coming over. Overall a very enjoyable stay and will definitely return.

  We had a wonderful stay at stradbroke the house was in a great location for us as we had the dogs. Lovely cool breeze house. I would recommend putting a blind on the eastern window in the lounge area as ut can be a bit hot when sitting there at certain times.
